With an ever-increasing emphasis on marketing in the digital age, Boston University’s Public Relations Student Society of America co-hosted a digital marketing and innovation summit with Emerson College’s American Marketing Association and Northeastern University’s Entrepreneurship Club.
The event, called MASSTalent, brought together more than 60 students interested in the way that digital media, new technology, and the millennial generation are shaping the future of advertising, marketing, business, and entrepreneurship.
Held at Hill Holliday, a Boston based advertising agency, students networked and exchanged ideas with their peers. They also had the ability to and answered survey questions on a mobile application built for the event. After meeting other like-minded students from different campuses, attendees headed to their seats to hear from recent graduates who now work in the digital sphere.
Panelists included representatives from Hill Holliday, Allen & Gerritsen, Small Army, ZipCar, SCVNGR, and I AM HUNGRY. Among the topics discussed were distinguishing your a brand from your its competitors, landing a job through social media, and predicting the next big trends in digital media.
MASSTalent was a great success, becoming the #4 trending topic on Twitter before the event even concluded!
A huge thanks goes out to the hosts of the event: DJ Capobianco from Hill Holliday, Maurice Rahmey from Boston University, Zach Cole from Emerson College, and Aaron Gerry from Northeastern University.
