Cone offers a comprehensive Internship Program to qualified students who seek to gain hands-on experience in the Public Relations field. We offer our Internship Program each semester on a year-round basis (Spring, Summer and Fall). Internships include participation in daily work on account teams and in several topical and instructional workshops.
This is an unpaid internship for school credit only and we generally require two to three full days of participation per week.

MS&L one of the world’s leading global public relations agencies, is seeking a paid part-time intern to join its Boston office. Duties may include creating media lists, participating in media outreach, compilation of press kits, coordination of events, possible writing assignments including news releases and pitch letters, media list development and follow-up, monitoring newspapers for daily clips and much more.
In order to qualify for the spring internship, you must:
* Be a junior or senior in a Boston area college/university
* Be available to work a minimum of 2 days (18 hours)
* Possess proficient word processing skills (Microsoft Office)
* Have strong verbal and written communication skills (you will be asked to make pitch calls to reporters/publicists)
* Have a strong interest in consumer public relations, media relations and an interest in cause marketing
* Be willing to work above and beyond the call of duty and jump start your PR career

3. Student Champion of the Year Competition
The Student Campaign of the Year competition is hosted by Direct Marketing News and the John Caples International Awards. This year, our sponsor, Alloy Marketing + Media, has teamed up with their client, Sony, to present this year’s assignment. Students will be designing a marketing campaign to drive awareness amongst college students for the Sony VAIO laptop series.

Students have a chance of winning a $5,000 cash prize, an internship at Alloy Marketing + Media, and a chance to come to New York City in March 2011 to attend the John Caples International Awards dinner and presentation.
