Congratulations Chelsea Alexander – 2010 BU PRSSA Edward L. Bernays Award Winner

Congratulations to Chelsea Alexander, winner of the 2010 Boston University PRSSA Edward L. Bernays award!

The Edward L. Bernays award is given out each year to an outstanding graduating member of BU PRSSA who has performed above and beyond for the chapter. Chelsea was selected based on her essay on the important qualities and ethics of a public relations professional and her dedication and incredible contributions to BU PRSSA. She has been an important part of the chapter since first getting involved as a freshman, jumping right into leadership positions as PRSA Liaison and PR Advanced coordinator as a sophomore and then Executive Vice President as a junior. This year she was elected Vice President of Finances, and used her four years of experience on the PR Advanced committee to take on coordinator of the conference for a second time.

The success of PR Advanced: Brand Yourself speaks volumes about Chelsea’s hard work and dedication to PRSSA, and to her role as co-coordinator. The feedback from both participants and speakers was incredible, and the conference was selected as a PRSSA Regional Activity and won BU Allocations Board’s Program of the Year. Chelsea was also honored personally for her accomplishments by the Allocations Board, who named her Senior Woman of the Year.

BU PRSSA has grown tremendously over the four years that Chelsea has been involved. She helped PR Advanced grow from the first ever conference her freshman year to the success it is today and brought all that she learned through her own experiences to the chapter’s efforts. We at BU PRSSA are so happy we had her these last four years.

Congratulations Chelsea! Thank you for all you have done for PRSSA and good luck after graduation!
