The Boston chapter of PRSA is now taking applications for their annual $2,000 scholarship grant. Here is the information about the scholarship from their website:
PRSA Boston is accepting completed applications for its 2010-2011 scholarship grant through Friday, May 21, 2010. Grant applications are available by contacting PRSA Boston Chapter Administrator Beth Bryant at (508) 786-3013 or email@example.com.
The $2,000 grant provides financial support on the basis of financial need and academic merit to current college students or researchers in the communications field. Undergraduate and graduate students attending a college or university in eastern Massachusetts in 2011 are eligible, as are individuals conducting communications or public relations research. Students working in an unpaid internship at a nonprofit organization are also eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to individuals with a “spark” and enthusiasm about the field of public relations, and individuals must possess a strong desire to launch a career in, and contribute to, the industry. Scholarship candidates should consider originality, creativity and writing style as they complete their application; internships and life experience as they relate to public relations should be carefully detailed.
The winner will be announced at the PRSA Boston chapter’s annual meeting in November 2010.
