Wish to get further insight into the PR market? Schwartz Communications Inc., one of the premier PR agencies in the technology and healthcare fields, is hosting a panel discussion on careers for students who are interested in the PR world. The event is scheduled to take place on April 13th at the Schwartz offices in Waltham. The agency is planning on having several panelists from VP level down to Account Executive level, and this panel could be of interest to students who are seeking PR internships in the summer.
Here is a sampling of some of the questions that will be covered at the panel:
Senior Level Staff:
-What do you do in your position? What are your day-to-day activities? How long have you been working in PR? What do you like about your job? What is the subject matter of your practice area? What has the landscape of your career been, i.e. how long have you been with Schwartz and what positions within Schwartz have you held? Can you speak to PR as a profession for students who are considering the industry, but unsure of what it entails? What types of PR are there?
Junior Level Staff:
-How did you hear about Schwartz? Did you have an internship, and if so, what was that experience like for you? Any tips for students when looking for internships/entry-level jobs? What was your transition from being a student to a working professional like? Why did you choose to work in PR? What types of activities were you involved with in college that were helpful to develop skills to become a successful PR professional?
