The main things that I focus on in an elevator speech are making an explicit connection between myself and the company/position and creating a lasting memory for the other person. The goal is that they are intrigued enough to look me up on LinkedIn or check out my blog - that&#039;s the goal!]]></description>

It&#039;s a networking event, not a job fair. Comes off as careless: you don&#039;t care about their company, just about getting any job. That being said, business cards are better. You can get same day business cards designed, printed, and cut at Kinkos -- otherwise, a cheaper alternative is vistaprint.com. Also definitely put your Linked In profile URL on the business card.]]></description>
